ABOUT

Nathan Schiele is a Los Angeles based Director and Co-Founder of Fowl Play Productions.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Nathan Schiele began filmmaking at a young age using stop motion animation. This infinite sandbox of opportunity allowed him to discover and further explore his creative passions for worldbuilding and uncanny storytelling. Incorporating the skills and lessons acquired from animation, Nathan went on to create his first major live action projects while studying at the University of Texas at Austin such as the multi-award winning science-fiction short Callisto's End.

After graduating from UT in December 2021, Nathan continued onto the next steps of his filmmaking career in Los Angeles. He has since directed and co-wrote the dark comedy short film Facade as well as the film noir short Plastic Soul, the latter of which will be screening at both Golden State Film Festival and Indie Short Fest this spring. Additionally, Nathan followed his heart into the world of music video directing where he has had the pleasure of working with iconic folk and alternative artists including Sylvie, Semiwestern and Tristan Lake Leabu.

Nathan is represented by Adrian Gonzalez and Karen Kirkland of Yak Yak mgmt.
